Cumberland is ready to lead the way! With strong interest in last’s year’s energy challenge, converting streetlights to led and an updated solar ordinance makes Cumberland a perfect candidate to initiate solar projects for residences and businesses. Jamestown, Narragansett and Richmond have already taken advantage of this opportunity, and we're next!

"Go Green Cumberland” is an opportunity to "go green" and install solar panels and easy access to purchase other green devices for our businesses and homes. At OCYL: The Mayor’s Office of Children, Youth and Learning, for 2 summers in a row, Cumberland Leadership Academy youth have expressed sincere concern about energy use in Cumberland. As a result, OCYL is leading this campaign, and invites you to support the voices of our Leadership Academy students. Through Solarize Cumberland, you can help Cumberland by going green and at the same time, support the future of the Cumberland Leadership Academy. Proceeds from finished projects and merchandise purchased will benefit the CLA.
